After Doomsday and The Descent DoP Sam McCurdy, BSC takes on a new Dilemma
With a great eye for action, atmospheric lighting and bold composition, we are pleased to announce Sam McCurdy, BSC as our latest Prisoner. Oh yeah and did we mention he does 3D, picked up a BSC award for Game of Thrones and is handy in a car chase… Albeit ours will have to be in space.
A member of the British Society of Cinematographers, Sam is best known for his work with British Director Neil Marshal on such films as The Descent, Centurion, Dog Soldiers and Doomsday. But he has also been fortunate to collaborate on a vast array of other projects, embracing the new sciences of digital capture, 3-D stereography and other technological advances in the ever-changing world of cinematography.
His recent works include global sensation Game of Thrones where he won the BSC Award for Best Cinematography, The BBC’s The Musketeers, cult fantasy Merlin and Renny Harlin’s blockbuster The Legend of Hercules.
In the 3D realm, Sam has just begun work on William Tell 3D to go with his previous stereo work on Street Dance 3D and the motorbike racing opus TT3D: Closer to the Edge.
We are looking forward to creating some classic hard-boiled Noir and cutting edge action with Sam behind the lens.
